Decarboxylation, or how to make the most out of your CBD

In order to gain the best effect of CBD, we suggest a so-called decarboxylation of our CBD tea buds. De-ca-whaaat?

Decarboxylation describes the heating process of CBD buds. We recommend this procedure to gain an optimal pharmacological effect from the CBD. Cannabinoids are mainly part of the hemp plant in the form of so-called carboxylic acid. CBD is therefore often referred to as CBD-carboxylic acid (CBDA), which will be transformed into phenolic CBD. In this process, a carbon dioxide molecule is split off the acid, which leads to decarboxylation.

We suggest heating the CBD buds at 120-140 degrees Celsius for about 10-15 minutes on a plate inside an oven.

After this we can prepare the leaves for a delicious and relaxing tea.

In the following you can find our favorite recipe:

INNER BALANCE TEA

Ingredients:

1/2 - 1 tsp alqemist hemp buds

1/2 tsp coconut oil

1 pc ginger

1 bar cinnamon

1-2 orange slices

1.) Heat up the hemp buds at 120-140 degrees Celsius on a baking plate inside an oven for about 10-15 minutes.

2.) Put the hemp buds, ginger, cinnamon and orange slices into a tea strainer or tea bag.

3.) Fill the coconut oil and tea mix inside a cup and pour in boiling water. Let the tea steep for 5-10 minutes and add agave syrup or coconut blossom sugar if needed.

4.) Enjoy and relax :)
